The 2nd annual ZWYC took place on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at City College of San Francisco, Mission Campus.

Dustin Fedako, from the Compost Pedallers - a 100% bike-powered compost recycling program! Dustin is the 25 year old co-founder and CEO of The East Side Compost Pedallers, a 100% bike-powered compost recycling program that collects organic waste from Austin homes & businesses and pedals them directly to nearby urban farms and community gardens to grow more local food for our community. He is also a board member for The Food is Free Project, an urban gardening non-profit, and recently helped launch the Permacultourism Initiative. The Compost Pedallers mission is to build a more vibrant Austin community by reducing waste, strengthening the local food system, and re-connecting neighbors to each other and the places that they live through more sustainable practices. All without burning a single drop of fossil fuel! |

ZWYC 2013
The first US Zero Waste Youth Convergence was held in March 2013 at the City College of San Francisco's Mission Campus. Over 200 people attended this day-long event, which kicked off International Zero Waste Week 2013.
